Understanding how to drive a golf ball straight is a key element to your golf game. The following 3 tips will help you succeed off the tee with your driver in hand.
Tip #1 – Visualize
One of the easiest ways to begin hitting your driver straight is to learn how to visualize your golf shot prior to hitting it. Jack Nicklaus was a master at playing a movie in his mind every time before striking the golf ball.
Prior to taking your swing, stand behind your ball. Imagine yourself hitting a perfect drive right down the middle of the fairway. Actually see yourself taking the club back and making a perfect swing and watch the ball fly through the air and land on the fairway. Get this image in your mind.
After mastering this visualization process, you will know how to drive a golf ball straight with more consistency.
Tip #2 – Clear Your Mind
After your visualize your golf shot it is important to clear your mind after you are set-up correctly and have proper alignment. You may have several different swing thoughts racing through your mind. Get rid of every single one when you are out on the golf course.
After you get a mental picture in your mind with visualization then forget about everything else. Just set-up correctly and have the confidence that you will hit it right down the middle.
Tip #3 – Do Not Over Swing
So many amateur players try to hit their drive as far as they can. They over swing which will produce a slice most of the time. If you want to know how to drive a golf ball straight then ease up on your swing. It is important to take the driver back slowly and then accelerate on your down swing through the ball but try to swing around 80-85%. This alone will allow you to hit your drive straight with more consistency.

I just got a free sleeve last week from PGA Tourpartners to try out and write a review on , let me tell you I tee’d off with the first ball and it felt like a little rock , It almost reminded me of the old Top Flights it had no feeling at all to me , them my approach shot was a little short and it had very little spin , so I went to hole 2 same thing , they just had no feeling to me and they were not as long as the PROV 1 , I ended up giving the sleeve to a guy in my group and after a few holes he stopped playing with them to his exact words were it feels like a rock , well that is what I found , in no way does that ball compare with a PROV1 .
