What would be the pros and cons for a man to use a ladies golf club?

Looking at a New Nike 3 WOOD. I’m not a great golfer and have issues with distance. Thoughts?

Well the main difference between the women’s and mens clubs are basically just shaft stiffness (no pun intended). The shafts on mens clubs are much more stiff because they are meant for a higher swing speed, while the womens clubs have a weaker shaft because generally they do not have large swing speeds. Now, there are exceptions like always, but generally that is the biggest difference. Also, usually the womens clubs are a little bit lighter as well to increase swing speed.

Pro- You will hit the ball farther because you will get more recoil with the shaft.

Cons- You can break the shaft pretty easily if you are swing 20mph over what the shaft’s rating is.
You will lose accuracy because the shaft is so flexible that the club will struggle to stay on plane if you are swinging harder.
It is possible to dent the face of the club as they head itself will not be as strong as a men’s club because the club head for women’s clubs tries to provide a greater bounce off of it, but it is easier to dent them.

These are just some cons, the best advice i can give you comes in a question: Have you ever seen a good male golfer using a female club???
Personally, I have never seen a decent male golfer using a female club, maybe a senior flex shaft (what I would recommend if you are looking for distance) but never a female club. They are meant for females, leave them that way!

Look at a senior flex shaft, it will be much better for you in the long run.

Can you explain golf to me?

What is par, birdie, bogge, etc.. What’s the difference between woods, irons, putters, and drivers? What are hybrid clubs? What’s a handicap?

Par is the Normal (pars are 3-5)strokes for each hole.birdie is 1 over par. Example: In a Par 4 the birdie would be if you get a 3. Bogie is 1 over par. Example: In a Par 4 bogie would be if you get a 5.Then theres Double Bogie and so on. Each one you add one stroke. A Wood is a club usually used in teeing off or to hit the ball when you are a certain amount of distance away from the hole. Irons can be used for teeing off or in the area between the teeing off place and the green (i believe there are 7 irons 3-9) Putters are used to putt the ball in the hole. (You only use putters when youre on the green).Drivers are clubs you use to tee off or in the fairway. Hybrids are a combination of Irons and Woods. They are usually easier to use and growing more popular.Handicaps are your personal average strokes above par. hope i helped!
